Who am I?

Hi, my name is Ralou. Explorer and storyteller, I believe in the Power of Nature to Restore the Human Spirit. Through my writing and photography, my aim is to discover the world that surrounds us and share all these experiences with you.

My Story.

I was born in Romania, in a city on the coast of the Black Sea. I am not a nationalist, I consider myself to be a citizen of the world. The world is my home.I have lived in 5 countries so far, and I am still counting: Romania, Slovakia, England, Germany and Ecuador. I am not one of those people who’s aim as a traveler is to tick off their endless list more and more places. If that’s what you are looking for you might stop reading this right now. My aim is to discover who I am through travelling. Every single place that I visit tells me something about myself. The world is an amazing place and so are we, as long as we allow us to believe it. I have been travelling to many, many places so far and I aim to do so for as long as I can. My desire to travel comes from an immense curiosity of everything that’s out there but also in here, in my own self, curiosity which gives me a sort of restlessness, as some would categorise it.

Since my childhood, I have found inspiration and comfort in Nature. It taught me about change and evolution, challenges and perseverance. Nature taught me about perspective and balance, but most importantly, it showed me about becoming humble and present.

You will find in my stories a new kind of travel, through which you will discover, through which you will be learning. You will be both the spectator and the participant.

I use my narrative to inspire everyone to reconnect with the wilderness, that of outside and of inside us. Sometimes philosophical and maybe poetic, my stories and my photography, will capture you through all the senses, leaving you sifting through your own memories and remembering the moments when you felt connected.
